Getting started with your website in search engine, there are many factors which effect the ranking of our site, one of the major factor among them is “ON PAGE “.it is the very first and important step every webmaster should look in .It does not takes a long time to learn on page but once you learn it, it is the best way to not only get your site ranked in the search engines but also to reduce your sites efficiency for visitors. But our mind is always searching questions ‘that how it will be’, ‘what we have to do’, ‘what should we do’ and like this many questions. So I brief you not actually brief, give you a little bit useful important techniques and points to remember while doing on page, in order to give your site a better exposure and increase its overall(CTR)click through rate (ratio).

So let’s start with the first point page title :

  • It is one of the most important things which are displayed on top of your browser. It is just like ‘an small ant which have the power to demolish a big elephant’ titles are just like small tags which have a very high importance; they should be short but descriptive, because in search engine there are thousand results for a single title. So your title should be efficient and effective and easy to search. You should include your name, business name and site name in the title so that people can search your title with your brand name. Certain keywords should also be used in the title because keywords represent whole content and information of your site. Give every page of your website its own title, and don’t make same title for your whole website. Your title should be as short and unique as possible and which are easier to search in the search engines minimum 10 to 12 words.

  • URL is also as necessary as title because an URL represents the destination of your site, your address, so when URL are made always keep in mind to make them search engine friendly, and it should not be too long , should be descriptive and possess relevant keywords.

  • Meta tags are short description of your web site which focuses on the specialization of your business. This small piece of text can be considered as a selling snippet, the meta description describes your page in the search engine results after the listing of titles. So having relevant meta tags increases chances of clicking your listings by the people.

  • Content optimization is one of the most important parts of on page. Your content should be always unique and easy to understand by the people, the information on your site should be updated and modified every time. If you wish people to come back to your site, you must give them something new and different. Regular updates and new content increases your chances to get ranked in Google and your site gets indexed faster.

  • Keyword optimization should be done in such a way that it should be suitable for both search engine and readers. Keyword research should be done properly through the keyword research tools. Try to have a moderate density keywords so that search engine could determine your keyword related to your page.

  • Image optimization is again very important part of on page as content optimization, because search engines don’t crawl images they crawl only texts. So special tags must be used to give our images some meaning, such as alt text and image titles, if our images are unable to open these tags are used in place of images thus making our description available to people.
